Vauxhall has announced the prices and specifications of the new Corsavan and is taking orders with delivery expected to begin in March.
Based on the same chassis as its predecessor, new Corsavan benefits from a re-designed exterior, revised suspension and higher quality materials for the re-worked interior. There is a 90hp 1.2-litre petrol version but importantly, there are three diesel models available with basic prices (excl VAT) starting at £12,245 ; 75hp 1.3CDTi, 95hp 1.3CDTi ecoFLEX and 95hp 1.3CTDi Sportive. All three come with a Start/Stop system as standard and a five-speed manual transmission is fitted except on the Sportive, which gets a six-speed box.
Load area dimensions pretty much the same as the predecessors, with 0.9m³ of space, a maximum length of 1,259mm, height is 921mm and width between the wheel boxes is 969mm. Gross payload is 571kg, dropping to 543kg for the Sportive.
Standard specification is very high with full ESP (including Hill Start Assist), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), six airbags, remote central deadlocking, digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel controls all part of the package. Move up to Sportive and among the specification includes a heated windscreen, auto wipers/headlights, air con, cruise control, LED DRLs, fog lights and 16in alloy wheels.
