Washing your car probably isn't high on your priority list after a hard day at work and on the road but did you know that driving with a dirty number plate on your lease car could land you with a £1,000 fine?
Over the past couple of weeks, Autumn has well and truly arrived and the roads are wet and dirty water kicked up by tyres on to the number plate can cause it to be obscured from the vision of police and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras, which it is required to be. Driving a dirty van isn't itself an offence but the number plate must be readable at all times.
It's well worth checking your number plate is visible on a regular basis to avoid any issues.
