To ensure we are able to give our customers real insight into the vehicles they are leasing we regularly arrange to have demo models so the team can get behind the wheel.

The latest demo to grace the car park was the e-Golf. 

Our electric vehicle expert Scott Allen (pictured above) was impressed. He said:

“The e-Golf was great, the range really surprised me with the advertised 144 mile range feeling achievable. The performance was also impressive it was lots of fun to drive. Unlike other electric cars, it felt like it wasn’t trying too hard. A lot of the competition have fancy high tech displays with “gimmick” read outs that aren’t necessary and often distracting. The e-Golf was just like jumping in a normal  petrol or diesel automatic Golf.” 

Scott goes onto say, “I can see how this car could really work as a city run around or for someone who only needs a car for the daily commute back and forward to work.”

Other comments from members of the OVL team who got the chance to drive the e-Golf included:

“This is the first fully electric car I have driven that is just like a normal car! It doesn’t try to look different, all the controls are normal, it even has a normal dashboard. It could not be any easier to drive.”

“It is just like a conventional car – but it is electric!”
