The Fully Electric E-Niro
The fully electric E-Niro has a driving range of up to 282 miles on a single charge and emits zero CO2. A great option for the environmentally conscious driver and with an impressive electric range, it’s pretty versatile for the average daily commute (when we are back to doing that!) and general family journeys.
The Plug-in Hybird Niro
The plug-in hybrid has a fantastic fuel consumption of up to 201.8 mpg and an electric only range of 26 miles. Once you’ve used up the electric range, the engine will switch to petrol mode and CO2 emissions are reported at 31 g/km.
A plug-in hybrid is a great option if you wanted to go electric but are not ready to commit fully just yet. We think this is a brilliant car to start your ‘alternatives fuel’ journey with.
The Self-Charging Hybrid Niro
The Kia Nero self-charging hybrid switches between petrol and electric power, or uses a combination of both and the battery is charged as you drive on petrol power. You don’t need to plug this car in and fuel consumption is approximately 58.9 mpg and CO2 emissions are listed as 119 g/km.
A self-charging hybrid is a perfect option if you don’t have access to an outside charger; perhaps you live in an apartment or in a house with no off-street parking. The self-charge option means you’re still able to dip your toe into the environmentally conscious motoring world but without any compromise.
