The SMMT has reported growth of new car production in October 2022. This 'bounce back' is welcome news after a tough time for the industry.

More than 69,500 cars rolled off UK production lines in October - this is a rise on September's figures but still almost  50 per cent short on pre-pandemic levels.

So, what does this mean for you?

Well, any increase in production is good news for those of us wanting to get our hands on a new car but it will be slow growth  and lead times on new cars remain, in many cases, around the 9-12 month mark.

"There are cars available for quick delivery," says Scott Allen, OVL's Sales Director, "but it is a case of being open minded to the make and model you are looking for and letting experts, like our team, navigate you through these tricky times.
